IV and CV measurements in the Liverpool clean room.

Cold IV:

Setup to measure IV PCB's at temperatures below 0°C. This is done by placing the PCB on a holder with a fan in a commercial freezer. The issue with this system is that the freezer has a cooling cycle and the temperature varies a few degrees when not constantly running. The lowest possible temperature is approximately -23°C. To get to lower temperatures and also have a more stable temperature of the device, a new cold IV setup was designed which will be placed in the freezer. The PCB is cooled with a Peltier element. The hot side is connected with a chuck which allows cooling with a liquid (or gas). The PCB is covered with a Perspex box which will be flushed with Nitrogen to prevent condensation.

TCT PID controller: more information about the PID controller

For IV study: glued sensor on PCB, PT1000 glued on sensor, soldered to PCB

Software

IV/CV standard

V1.3:
standard version
Use LabView 7.1; for newer LabView use new version of programm
Location: C:\ICV_meas_7.1\V1.3_latest\
V1.3.zip: IV programm V1.3

V1.3.2:
fixed bug in programm flow; 'Abort' button in ICV run window; included switch which allows automatic ramp down at end of measurement; automatic save button opens save window after measurement
Location: C:\ICV_meas_11
V1.3.2.zip: IV programm V1.3.2

V1.3.3:
ramp down speed available; current limit now user defined number
Location: C:\ICV_meas_11
V1.3.3.zip: IV programm V1.3.3

Cold IV

Location: C:\ColdIV

V2.1:
fixed bug in programm flow; 'Abort' button in ICV run window; included switch which allows automatic ramp down at end of measurement; automatic save button opens save window after measurement; ramp down speed available for user; additional read Keithley 2000 multimeter (Ohm) to get resistance of PT1000
V2.1.zip: Cold IV V2.1

V2.2:
current limit now user defined number
V2.2.zip: Cold IV V2.2
