Searches for Beyond the SM Higgs bosons

by Dr. Nikolaos Rompotis (University of Washington)

Wednesday 27 May 2015 from 15:00 to 16:00 (Europe/London)
at Oliver Lodge Laboratory ( 337 )
Description
The search for an extended or an exotic Higgs sector has been a very interesting topic from LEP to the Tevatron and the LHC.
In this seminar, I will be discussing the following questions:
What is the motivation for a BSM Higgs sector?
What have we learnt from LEP and flavour physics and what does the discovery of a 125-GeV SM-like Higgs boson mean in this context?
What have we learnt from LHC Run-I and what are the prospects for Run-II?
