Weak Measurement and its experimental realisation for non-zero mass particles

by Dr. Robert Flack (UCL)

Wednesday 13 May 2015 from 13:30 to 14:30 (UTC)
at Chadwick Building ( Barkla Lecture Theatre )
Description
The concept of a weak measurement was first proposed by Aharanov, Albert and Vaidman in 1988. There has been a resurgence of interest due to its use in several interesting ways. I will explain what a weak measurement is from an experimental perspective and describe, in detail, our own experimental programme. Finally I will give one possible interpretation of weak values.
