to 50 pin Cannon connectors
One of these adapter PCBs is required for each velo hybrid and cable set.
The PCB converts the two 100 pin FCI connectors on the cables to four 50
pin cannon connectors which can mate with the 50 pin feedthroughs on the
Vaccuum tank or directly to the support/buffer card without the feedthroughs.
For test setups the adapter can be fitted with male cannons which will
mate with the support card. If tests are to be done in a vaccuum tank then
the cards can be fitted with female cannons to mate to the support card
via the back to back male feedthroughs. For the purposes of pin identification
the cannon connectors on the adapter PCB are numbered as if they were female
as they would be in the experiment although in test setups they would be
loaded with female parts.
The PCB is double sided PTH on 1mm FR4. size 36 x 302mm
Cannon connectors are on 76mm centres. FCI connectors on 122mm centres.
