Facilities - Electrical Testing Area

This area contains the apparatus for performing the required electrical readout tests on SCT modules to verify their operation. Modules to be tested are placed on cooling contacts in small test boxes which are in turn housed in a larger environment box. A circulating chiller provides the necessary cooling of the modules.

The modules are powered and read out through a VME crate controlled by a PC running the SCTDAQ software package. The VME crate holds the usual boards for module control and readout: AERO, MuSTARD, SLOG, CLOAC, SCTLV and SCTHV.
