ATLAS Authorship Committee

Welcome to the ATLAS Publications Committee


The purpose of this committee is to:

Official mandate as given by the CB Feb 2000.

The PubComm consists of 12 members appointed by the ATLAS Collaboration Board for a two year term (6 are chosen every year). Amongst these 12 members are the PubComm chair and deputy chair. The Physics Coordinator is also a member of this committee.

The ATLAS experiment supports the Open Access Paradigm. The following statement was unanimously endorsed by the ATLAS Collaboration Board on Friday February 23, 2007:

"We the ATLAS Collaboration strongly encourage the usage of electronic publishing methods for ATLAS publications and support the principles of Open Access Publishing, which includes granting free access of our ATLAS publications to all. Furthermore, we encourage all ATLAS members to publish papers in easily accessible journals, following the principles of the Open Access Paradigm."
