Observed number of events and background predictions in the b-tag and b-veto categories for the &tau;<sub>e</sub>&tau;<sub>had</sub>, &tau;<sub>&mu;</sub>&tau;<sub>had</sub> and &tau;<sub>had</sub>&tau;<sub>had</sub> channels. The background predictions and uncertainties are obtained from the statistical procedure discussed in Section 7. In the &tau;<sub>lep</sub>&tau;<sub>had</sub> channel, the processes other than "Jet &rarr; &#8467;, &tau;<sub>had-vis</sub> fakes" require a true hadronically decaying &tau; lepton or an electron or muon misidentified as a &tau;<sub>had-vis</sub>.  The expected signal yields for the m<sub>h</sub><sup>mod+</sup> scenario are shown for comparison.
