Current activities are to define the project goals, manpower and cost implications, for each of the main work packages: CCD simulation [Liverpool and RAL device simulation groups] CCD R&D [Marconi and LCFI] Readout IC [RAL microelectronics group] Driver IC [Tony, Richard S, ... ] Bump bonding [Chris, .. ] System electronics and test system electronics [Richard S group] Mechanics/cryogenics [Andy Nichols group and LCFI] Studies of effects of radiation on CCDs/electronics [LCFI] Any we have overlooked, such as DAQ? Plus two appendices: a) List of LCFI proposal authors in universities and RAL(PPD) and percentage of their time allotted to this project. All other staff must be explicitly covered in the cost estimates. Some (eg university workshop staff) are 'free' as far as the PPESP/PPARC are concerned. b) List of other areas of science to benefit from this programme. We need endorsements from colleagues in astronomy, SR, industry, MOD, etc etc, to satisfy the Technology Fund.
