This talk is a distillation of the recently published book
``Physics from Fisher Information'' by B. Roy Frieden of the 
University of Arizona (CUP 1998). In this book Frieden presents a
fundamentally new approach to the whole of Physics, and
proposes a new unifying principle, Extreme Physical Information (EPI) 
which  yields spectacular results. The main aim of the talk is
to explain what is meant by ``Fisher Information'', to present the EPI
principle, and encourage reading of the book by all active physicists.
