Light New Physics in Precision Lepton Experiments

by Dr. Martin Bauer (Heidelberg)

Wednesday 03 May 2017 from 15:30 to 16:30 (UTC)
at Oliver Lodge Laboratory ( 1-3-337 - 337 Seminar Room )
Description
High precision lepton measurements are known to constrain New Physics with couplings to leptons up to very high mass scales. The parameter space probed in terms of Wilson coefficients of higher dimensional operators is well known and complementary for different experiments. In addition, there is a great discovery potential for light new degrees of freedom. I will discuss well-motivated examples for light New Physics, including hidden photons and axion like particles, and present the reach and search strategies for the next generation of Precision Lepton Experiments.
