The new H1 homepage on the WWW, which is available since
Dec 95 will become default on

           Thursday Jan. 16, 1996.

Since the first release of the new homepage many comments,
remarks and ideas were incorporated. A serious concern of
many users was the time which was need to build up the home
page. Some effort went into this problem. Presently the
building up time of the new home page is of the same order
as for the old one. For those who want even be faster, a
"Mini Home Page" was created which contains a minimum set
of links concerning H1, The "Mini Home Page" has the URL
"http://dice2.desy.de/h1/www/html/mini_home.html".

The old home page will exist for a certain time, however it
will be no longer updated. In this context also the page
"H1-internal", which is no longer used by the new home
page, will be also no longer updated. The information of
this page (and much more) is now under:
