A possible 12-fold layout as shown at the video conference 12/1/99.

The main structure consists of two carbon fibre toothed half shells onto which slide carbon fibre wedges. Mounted on the wedges you can see 300 microns of silicon, 250 microns of wire-bonds, and 500 microns of cables (corresponding to a maximum of 4 cables.)

A summary of work prepared for the video conference on Tuesday 15th December

  • Silicon Resolution / Pitch Optimisation / Geometry
  • Cable Capacitances
  • Mechanical Designs, Cable Layouts, and a word about Noise

  • A note entitled `Discussion of Some Design Issues for the Layer00 Detector' is now available and summarises some of the work of the Liverpool group. It is hoped that this document will provide a possible starting point for our discussions at FNAL on Nov.23-25th.

Preliminary studies on LOO can be found here.
