The LHCb experiment at CERN is dedicated to finding New Physics at and beyond the energy frontier through the study of "quantum loops" and by understanding how new particles found at the LHC interact with the b-quark.
Data taking started successfully in 2009. Follow these links if you'd like a little more background. The 2010 Data run will re- start March 2010.
Our group is responsible for the vertex detector modules (VELO) capable of resolving B-decays to 40 fs. The VELO provides the best reconstruction of secondary vertices at the LHC. Find out more about our detector programme. Our Physics analysis pages will be available soon.
