Searching for New Physics at the high energy frontier

The Liverpool ATLAS group is engaged in a number of physics analysis research topics as well as core software projects. These include searches for the Higgs Boson, extra dimensions and supersymmetry. Standard Model physics, such as electroweak processes and top quark physics, will also be studied. Liverpool is involved in the development of b-tagging algorithms, and has been responsible for part of the silicon tracking system, one of the SCT endcaps, and is developing software for monitoring the SCT.
